Description: The Ulysses Grant Peace plates (circa 1888) were made by Gillinder & Sons to commemorate the death of Ulysses S Grant. The peace plates are pressed glass using the maple leaf design around the rim of the plates. Around the outer rim of the plate are the words: "Let Us Have Peace - U.S. Grant". A portrait of Grant is in the center of the plate and the words: "Born April 27, 1822 Died July 23, 1885".

Condition: We have 2 green plates. Both of them have small chips on the underside of the maple leaves along the rim. The maple leaf pattern helps to hide the imperfections. Price quoted is for 1 plate.
