Shriner Champagne Glass 1909
Description: This beautiful champagne glass was made as a souvenir for the 1909 Shriner convention in Louisville, Kentucky. Two swords support the bowl with a gold tobacco leaf design on the pedestal base. On one side of the champagne glass is the Syria Temple emblem above Pittsburgh, PA. On the other side is a horseshoe and the date 1909 above Louisville, KY. The item is made from carnival glass and is approximately 4 1/2" tall.

Shriner Champagne Glass 1910
Description: This champagne glass was made as a souvenir for the 1910 Shriner convention in New Orleans. The two alligators supporting the bowl of the champagne glass are very unique in carnival glass. On one side of the champagne glass is the Syria Temple emblem above Pittsburgh, PA. On the other side is a crowned and bearded man representing Rex, King of the Mardi Gras. The date April 1910 is below New Orleans. The champagne glass is approximately 4 1/2" tall.

Shriner Champagne Glass 1911
Description: This champagne glass was made as a souvenir for the 1911 Shriner convention in Rochester, NY. Three scimtars support the bowl, which is decorated with handpainted cityscapes of Pittsburgh and Rocherster. A photographer with a box camera (in honor of Eastman Kodak) is taking a picture of a shriner approaching on a camel. The champagne glass also has the Syria Temple emblem and the date 1911. The item is made from carnival glass and is approximately 4 7/8" tall.

Garfield Memorial Plate
Description: Garfield Memorial Plate, ca 1881. James Garfield was elected the 20th President of the United States in 1880. Shortly afterwards he was assassinated. Garfields portrait is in the center; three-quarters around the rim is a laurel wreath on a stippled background. Embossed at the top is "Memorial". The clear plate is 10" diameter.

The peace plates are pressed glass using the maple leaf design around the rim of the plates. Around the outer rim of the plate are the words: "Let Us Have Peace - U.S. Grant". A portrait of Grant is in the center of the plate and the words: "Born April 27, 1822 Died July 23, 1885".

Gettysburg Set 1863
Description: Toothpick holder and small creamer. Ruby stained or ruby flash glass with etching "Gettysburg 1863". Along bottom are clear arches in pattern glass. The toothpick holder is 2" tall and the creamer is 2 1/2" tall. I think these were probably made for the 50th anniversary of the Gettysburg's Address.
